So you want to understand teenagers or maybe people in general. Ok, good.

In order to do so, you first have to put yourself in the shoes of a person that is continously trying to find a purpose. Not only that this person is desperately trying to find a purpose, but is also struggling between two worlds, the one of a child and adulthood. Most of the times, when the individual finds the purpose or at least has the impression that he or she found it, all their actions become about reaching it. That is why everything around them, but the means that helps them achieve their purpose, becomes blurry, dispensable. This behaviour that occurs to most individuals that are in their teenage years has its ups and downs.

One of the downs is that the individual gets stuck in its own reality and as long that he or she stays in that reality, there is no issue. But when someone or something pulls the individual out of that reality, it can be as if you were running very fast and suddenly something hits you causing you to lose your momentum. That is how it feels. It depends from individual to individual how fast they recover. After the recovery, he or she continues their journey to reaching their purpose and after this happens, they open the door to real world.

About the ups of this reality that the individual gets stuck in, there is one or two matters that should be discussed. One of them is the fact that whenever a human is passionate about something, time flows differently. This way, the years of preparation for what future would bring to their life, will go away faster. Here could be a long discussion about finding that teenage love or about having a big number of so called friendships, but at some point they all fade. Only the people that share the same interests as the individual will stick around. The others become dust in the wind.

The other matter that is worth mentioning is about the character of the individual. When he or she chooses their purpose, they subconsciously establish a certain relationship to other people involved in their lives. Therefore, some of the individual's close acquaintances can become irrelevant to the individual's life.

Here is how most of teenagers live their lives from what I have observed. And this applies to me too. Obviously, there is more to it. But this is the main branch from where the other little ones take birth.
